ASR Africa donates $3 million for development initiatives in the Republic of Niger – The Sun Nigeria

The Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa) – the brainchild of industrialist, philanthropist and founder of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has awarded a three million dollar development initiative to the Republic of Niger from its ASR Fund Africa for social development and renewal. The donation was announced when President Mohamed Bazoum of the Republic of Niger hosted BUA Group and ASR Africa President Abdul Samad Rabiu at the State House in Niamey this weekend.

Speaking at the reception held in his honor, Abdul Samad Rabiu, thanked President Bazoum for the warmth, hospitality and honor accorded to him in Niamey. He also announced that his private philanthropy, ASR Africa, has selected the Republic of Niger as the recipient of a 2022 National Development Grant in the amount of $3 million which will be drawn from the ASR Africa Fund for Social Development and renewal, and channeled into interventions in the areas of health, education or social development that the Government of the Republic of Niger will identify for implementation. In his response, President Bazoum thanked Rabiu for the gesture and stressed the importance of pan-African cooperation in various fields ranging from business to infrastructure development, social development and economy. He further added that trade and development partnerships such as this are key to building an economically prosperous Africa for the future.
