Assam Rifles organizes community activities | Morung Express
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 25 (MExN): The Assam Rifles conducted several civic projects statewide on October 24 and 25.
The Dimapur Battalion of the Assam Rifles held a motivational conference on career prospects in the armed forces at the Livingstone Foundation International College, Thahekhu on October 25. The program saw the participation of 112 students, including 69 boys, 30 girls and 13 faculty members also took part in the event.
The Jalukie battalion of Assam rifles carried out a clean-up campaign in collaboration with the government high school Athibung on October 25 as part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
Security forces as well as students have raised awareness of the importance of cleanliness in daily life and routine. The training was aimed at realizing the vision of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. A sense of responsibility was evoked among young people and the public through the training, said a press release from PRO, IGARN. A brief conference was also organized to raise awareness of the precautions to be taken following the recent wave of Covid-19 cases.
Meanwhile, the Jalukie of Assam Rifles Battalion also organized a medical camp and vaccination campaign in conjunction with PHC Athibung on October 24.
Assam Rifles’ troops showed up to help people in the midst of the Corona Crisis along with a team of medics from PHC Athibung. The villagers were also informed of the different health and hygiene methods to be implemented during this crisis and received the necessary drugs. A total of 131 villagers including 39 men, 63 women, 29 children have benefited from the camp.
