Core Development Group Appoints Mark Benoit as Vice President of Design and Construction

TORONTO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Toronto-based real estate development company, Core Development Group (Core), recently announced the appointment of Mark Benoit as Vice President of Design and Construction.

He will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design and construction of all purpose-built multi-family residential and rental developments. All of Core’s projects feature geothermal and other green technologies to reinforce the company’s commitment to building more sustainable and innovative sustainable communities.

Core’s successful closing of several land acquisitions last year, in addition to several others scheduled to close in 2022, has allowed the company to increasingly scale up operations. Benoit will join a growing team at Core responsible for facilitating the development of an increasing number of projects under management.

Prior to joining Core, Benoit was Founder and President of MBCM, a multidisciplinary consulting firm responsible for the strategic design, development and delivery of over $1 billion in mixed-use developments located across the Canada, the United States and the Caribbean. Benoit is a licensed and award-winning architect, licensed in Canada and the United States.

Over his 30 years of experience in architecture and design, Benoit has received numerous accolades for his work on notable projects, including awards for Best Development and Best Resort for The Landings Saint Lucia, as well as the for-profit large-scale development award. for the Westin Medical Center.

Benoit holds a B.Sc. Honors in Geophysics from the University of Manitoba as well as a B.Sc. in Environmental Design and a Masters in Architecture from Dalhousie University.
