Shashank Atri, vice-pradhan of a Kufri Panchayat village and hotelier in Kufri told ANI: “We don’t know who will be allowed to participate in snow-related activities because a special investigation team has been constituted and later the High Court ordered to prohibit such activities.. Local youths in three assembly segments and eight village panchayats are involved in adventure activities and snow games.This decision by the authorities left thousands of people jobless.

Rajender Verma, a local who used to help people do adventure activities in the snow, said, “Here we have skiing, snow sledding and other games like snow tobogganing. tube. We used to have the Kufri Snow Sports Club. Snow-related activities are the main source of employment here.”

“I have been organizing snow sports here for a long time. We had no form of registration in the early days. If the government wants to impose standards and regulate prices, we welcome it,” he said. added.

Bheem Singh, a local tour guide, told ANI, “Tourists come here to Kufri during the winter season and prefer to visit Mahasu Peak. I am a registered tour guide here with the tourism department. tourists love skiing and other snow activities. We don’t know how and why these adventure and snow activities were banned. We will follow the court order. However, the government should try to save jobs. of those involved in snow adventure related activities.

Mukesh Singh, a tourist from Haryana said, “Tourists are disappointed as they do not find anything as promised in their tourism business. We came here for snow adventure sports but now we are disappointed. (ANI)
