Police arrest ‘paracetamol’ in Ogun for sectarian activities

Rotimi Adebiyi better known as Paracetamol, a notorious and murderous cultist terrorizing around Abeokuta and Ifo, was arrested by agents of the Ogun State Police command.

Paracetamol was on the state police command’s wanted list for its alleged role in several sectarian clashes in the state that resulted in the deaths of some members of another sectarian group.

According to Ogun Police image maker, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, he said the suspect was arrested by SWAT officers led by CSP Olanrewaju Kalejaye at his hideout in the Ifo region of the state. .

He said the arrest of the suspect, from his hiding place, was carried out by the police officers, acting on the basis of a very reliable intelligent report.

He further said that some dangerous weapons had been recovered by the alleged cultist, including a locally made pistol, an actual cartridge, various criminal charms, weed suspected to be Indian hemp and a cutlass.

Oyeyemi said the suspect, a leader of the Eiye Cult group, used to come to the Abeokuta metropolis to strike and always returned to his hiding place in Ifo.

“Police officers, acting on credible intelligence, raided his home at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday April 30, 2022, where he was apprehended.

“Taken from him are; a locally made cut-to-size pistol, live cartridge, assorted criminal charms, weed suspected to be Indian hemp, and a cutlass,” the statement read.

In the meantime, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Lanre Bankole, has ordered a thorough investigation into Paracetamol’s past activities, with a view to bringing him to justice as soon as possible.
