Soludo talks about the activities of unknown gunmen in Anambra

Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has condemned the nefarious activities of the gunmen terrorizing the South East region.

Soludo declared the murders of innocent citizens and the recent murder of a lawmaker, Okechukwu Okoyeshow that armed men are not agitators.

He revealed that the activities of the armed men are very far from the agitations of the members of the Indigenous peoples of Biafra (IPOB) in the region.

Soludo made this known while addressing the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) aspirants for the various elective positions for 2023 at the Governor’s Lodge, Awka on Monday.

He said the killings and violence in the state were perpetrated by criminals who have now engaged in kidnapping, murder and other forms of crime as a lucrative business.

Meanwhile, terrorist bandits who abducted passengers from the train bound for Abuja-Kaduna have vowed to start killing those in captivity if the government led by Muhammadu Buhari fails to meet their terms.

Naija News reports that gunmen believed to be linked to the Ansaru terror group attacked the train on March 28, 2022, killing nine people and kidnapping others.

Recall that the federal government had recently suspended the resumption of rail service indefinitely following protests by the families of the kidnapped victims.

The terrorists have now said they will start killing the captives within the next seven days if the government refuses to release their children allegedly held in a detention center in Yola.

According to the Vanguard, the leaders of the terrorists spoke by telephone with the spokesman of Sheikh Ahmad GumiMalam Tukur Mamu, ‘And Dan Iyan Fika.

In the audio of conversations between Malam Tukur Mamu and the leaders of the terrorists, the terrorists claimed that the federal government suspended the resumption of rail service due to their threats.
