The CIS coordinates documents on the basic organization of notarial activities



MINSK, Feb. 16 (BelTA) – A meeting of a group of experts on the establishment of the basic organization of notarial activities of the CIS was held at the headquarters of the CIS in Minsk on February 16, a learned BelTA from the press service of the IEC Executive Committee.

The meeting brought together representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee.

The key issue on the agenda was consideration of the draft decision of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS on granting the Chamber of Notaries of Belarus the status of the basic organization of notarial activities of the IEC and the draft regulations of this grassroots organization.

The group of experts agreed on draft documents and noted that the proposed form of international cooperation on the implementation of notarial activities would contribute to ensuring a high level of notarial services, respect for the rights and legitimate interests of citizens (organizations) of the CIS states.

The initiative to create such a grassroots organization belongs to the Ministry of Justice of Belarus. The proposal was supported at the session of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the CIS, held in December 2021.
